Set up the edit before writing a prompt

For a reference-led edit, avoid describing a replacement product in so much detail that the description conflicts with the original. Tell the model which parts of the image are allowed to change, such as background, light or composition. Ask it to preserve the product, then verify that it actually did.

Review the image before using it

Questions
Do these prompts work identically in Nano Banana 2 and Pro?
They describe tasks that you can try with either model, but outputs and available settings can differ. Record the exact model used and inspect the image. A template is not evidence that the two models perform the same way on a particular product.
Can I rely on generated logos and packaging text?
Check every important character against the source. Even models designed to handle text can produce an incorrect label in an individual output. If the wording or mark must be exact, retain or add an approved version in a controlled editing step.
Should I generate a still image before an AI product video?
An approved still image gives the video workflow a clearer visual starting point. It also lets you catch product or background errors before spending on motion. You still need to review the video for changes introduced over time, especially during camera movement.
