Seedance video cost: estimate credits before you generate

Seedance video cost depends on the model version and the settings of each request. Start with the credit quote for the clip you actually want to make, then budget for the number of attempts. A subscription's headline price alone does not tell you how many finished videos a project will produce.

The starting point

Check the selected model, duration, resolution and reference inputs before you compare costs. Use the generator's current quote for the final decision. Budget for multiple attempts when the shot is uncertain, and distinguish the cost of a generated clip from the cost of a usable final clip.

Before you begin

  • The model version, output duration and resolution for your shot.
  • The generator's current credit estimate.
  • Your current plan or credit-pack price if you want a dollar estimate.

Compare 5-, 10- and 30-second estimates

These examples use the same built-in estimation rules as SWRFlow's public model pricing and display customer-facing credits. They assume one output at 720p, without video-reference input and without optional audio. Seedance 2.5 includes generated audio in its rate. The table is an estimate, not an offer or a record of a completed generation.

Estimated credits · 720p · one output
Model5 seconds10 seconds30 seconds
Seedance 2.0 Mini8 credits16 creditsNot available
Seedance 2.0 Fast19.5 credits38.5 creditsNot available
Seedance 2.026 credits51.5 creditsNot available
Seedance 2.567 credits134 credits402 credits

“Not available” means that duration is not supported for that model in the current integration. It is not a zero-credit request. Before you generate, verify the amount shown on the generator, especially if you change reference inputs or other settings.

What changes the cost?

  • Model: Mini, Fast, standard 2.0 and 2.5 have different rates. Compare the actual model name, not just “Seedance.”
  • Duration: more output seconds generally require more credits. Request only as much time as the action needs.
  • Resolution: a higher available output tier changes the estimate. Input image dimensions and output video resolution are different settings.
  • Inputs and audio: reference-video workflows and optional audio can use different pricing rules. The simple table above is not a quote for every mode.
  • Attempts: another successful generation is another output, even if you decide not to use it in the final edit.

Credit units are platform-specific. Ten credits on another website are not necessarily equivalent to ten credits in SWRFlow. To compare providers, match the duration, output tier, input mode and audio options, then compare the actual money required under each plan.

Budget a project, not just one clip

Separate the number of deliverable shots from the number of generation attempts. A plan for three finished shots may involve more than three successful generations. The amount of revision depends on the scene and quality bar; there is no universal success rate.

If you want an approximate dollar cost, divide the amount paid for an applicable plan or pack by the credits included, then multiply by the task estimate. Check expiry, billing period and whether other features are included. With a subscription, unused credits change your effective cost; the full monthly or annual payment is still due under the plan terms.

Reduce avoidable attempts

  1. Check the reference image first. Remove ambiguity about the main subject before buying video attempts.
  2. Choose a short draft when the idea is uncertain. Check shape, action and camera before extending the requested duration.
  3. Change one variable in a revision. Replacing the model, reference and prompt together makes the result harder to learn from.
  4. Reserve higher-cost settings for a shot whose composition you already understand.
  5. Keep the prompt and settings with every usable output so you do not need to reconstruct the same request.

A lower-resolution draft can help you explore a scene, but a later high-resolution generation can still differ. Treat it as a new output that needs review, rather than a guaranteed enhancement of the approved draft.

Understand failed tasks and unwanted results

If a task appears stalled, check its status before starting another one. A pending task, a failed task and a successful output you do not like are different situations. SWRFlow's current task and credit rules determine how a failed request is settled; a creative mismatch does not automatically make a successful request refundable.

If the task status and balance do not agree, keep the task identifier and contact support. Use the pricing page to review current plans and the refund policy for payment-related terms. Do not estimate available balance from an old screenshot.

Questions

Is this the official ByteDance price?

No. This page explains SWRFlow's customer-facing credit estimates. ByteDance, API providers and other creation platforms can use different billing units and packages. When comparing prices, match the full request and consult each service's current pricing terms.

Why does my quote differ from the table?

The table uses one output at 720p with no video-reference input and no optional audio. Your model, duration, resolution or input mode may be different. Current generator settings and the displayed quote take precedence over a general example.

Does a 30-second video always cost twice as much as 15 seconds?

Do not assume that relationship across different models or modes. Check both quotes using the same model and settings. Some models do not support a 30-second output at all, and rounding or reference inputs can also affect the estimate.
